It’s the season for holiday lights, displays, and concerts. Pittsburgh and the surrounding towns are shining brighter this year with plenty to offer! I’ve put together a list of some of the most magical holiday events along with some you might not expect. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Phipps Conservatory– Holiday Magic! Winter Flower Show and Light Garden along with the Garden Railroad Bridges and Tunnels will spark joy for every age. Now through January 9th.
Mexican War Streets Winter Wonderland Extravaganza- Self-guided walking or driving tour of some of the most grand and historic homes in Pittsburgh. Maps are distributed to visitors listing decorated home entries. Other local businesses in the area will be listed on the map. Saturday, December 18th from 5-10pm.
Winter Solstice Lantern Walk– Fox Chapel Parks Conservancy invites you to celebrate the winter solstice at Salamander Park in Fox Chapel. Saturday, December 18th from 5-7pm.
Pittsburgh Zoo Lights Drive-Thru– Over 80 animal lights with new displays. Now through December 30th.
Shadracks– Drive-thru light display at Big Butler Fairgrounds. Now through January 2, 2022.
Dashers Light Show– Held at Pittsburgh Mills Mall, this is a drive-thru light display. Now through January 2, 2022.
Elfburgh– Hundred Acres Drive, Bethel Park. Watch Santa’s helpers get ready for the big day as you drive along Elf Lane. Over a half a million lights. Now through December 23rd.
Oglebay Festival of Lights– Wheeling, West Virginia. Enjoy a six-mile drive through 300 acres of lights. Now through January 9, 2022.
Steubenville Nutcracker Village– Steubenville, Ohio. Only 50 miles from Pittsburgh and considered to be one of the largest nutcracker collections in the world. Life size nutcrackers are placed throughout the town. In addition, there is an advent market with artisan vendors, food, drink, and more. Now through January 8, 2022.
Highmark Holiday Pops– Heinz Hall. Don’t forget to stop by this year’s holiday tree which is over 25 ft tall and on display in the Grand Lobby. Now through December 19th.
The Nutcracker– Benedum Center. Now through December 29th.
Christmas in East Liberty– East Liberty Presbyterian Church. Cathedral Concerts returns with this popular event. December 17th, 7:30-9:00pm.
A Christmas Carol– Pittsburgh CLO. December 17th-23rd.
